Last night Green River’s BAS in Software Development hosted a capstone showcase spotlighting the capstone projects students in Cohort 12 and Cohort 13 have been working on for the past six months. Participants attended in person and virtually over Zoom during this hybrid event.

If interested, you can watch a livestream of the showcase on YouTube below. A big thank-you goes out to capstone instructors Ken Hang and Tyler Schrock for organizing the event.

Twice a year, Green River College’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Development onboards a cohort of new students. Today, we had the privilege of welcoming Cohort 16 to the program via a virtual advising and onboarding workshop.

Twenty seven students attended the workshop, which included activities around effective study habits and fall class planning, as well as an AMA-style Q and A with SDEV instructors Ken Hang, Tina Ostrander, Josh Archer, Susan Uland, and Tyler Schrock.

At Green River College, we’re helping create a new, more diverse generation of software developers to fill jobs right here in Seattle-Tacoma. At the heart of that mission? Students like this.

Welcome, Cohort 16!
